Work experience

A glimpse into my professional journey.

Newest first. Each entry opens with the context the work happened in — the field, and what made the problem hard — and the bullets underneath are what I built inside it.

Sensory Value

Sensory science, the discipline behind how companies test and optimise how products taste, smell, and feel, sits on decades of consumer and product data that most firms in the space have never modelled properly. It is a data-rich field that needs models that are both accurate and interpretable, since a prediction nobody can explain is not useful to a food scientist deciding what to change in a formula.

  • Designed and implemented the company's AWS data infrastructure — RDS, S3 and Lightsail — supporting its databases and internal data platforms, and served as the technical reference for decisions on the data ecosystem.
  • Led the end-to-end development and deployment of a new web application, supporting the company's digital transformation and brand evolution.
  • Act as technical mentor for agentic solutions developed internally.
  • Research and development of AI/ML models for the core business — product testing and sensory analysis.
  • Python
  • AWS RDS
  • S3
  • Lightsail
  • IAM Identity Center

CaixaBank Payments & Consumer

The hard part in banking was never building the models. It was integrating them into the day-to-day: a high-security, heavily regulated sector where everything you want to touch goes through approvals, access controls and the bureaucracy that comes with them. A solution is not finished when it works — it is finished when it has cleared all of that and someone is actually using it every morning. That is where most of the time went, and it is the part I learned the most from.

  • Built an end-to-end time-series forecasting pipeline (Oracle, XGBoost, Darts, Optuna), fully orchestrated with Apache Airflow.
  • Developed a propensity model for consumer-finance product targeting.
  • Implemented two agentic systems for internal operations — one with Power Automate, one with LangGraph.
  • Built and deployed data and AI solutions on GCP infrastructure.
  • Automated multiple recurring internal workflows with Apache Airflow.

Complementary experience

Conferences and other rooms.

Not all of it happened at a desk. These are the rooms where the work had to be said out loud, to people who had not read it first.

  • October 2025

    YQIS International Conference

Presented research poster on semi-device-independent QRNGs.

  • October 2018
